It’s Unsweetened Tea ya’ll. This one’s not quite a no-brainer like sweet tea is. While no Southern Dish is complete without tea, the decision to go unsweetened must be strategic. At The Dish we serve it up by the gallon, half gallon or 16 oz. cup. We believe it’s safe to say that the South could survive on Sweet Tea. But how do we explain one choosing to go with unsweetened? Naturally, it could be considered a health conscious decision. If so, we hear ya. We’ve also seen crafty people buy a gallon of sweet and a gallon of unsweet, mix ’em up and enjoy half-sweetened tea. Resourceful approach we suppose. Whatever the reason for your unsweetened preference, we’re just glad to know we’ve got ya covered no matter how you prefer this other Southern food group: Tea.
And don’t forget that it’s not only about quenching your thirst or staying hydrated. It’s about clearing your pallet between dishes with this not to be overlooked Southern staple that Delightful Dishes brews fresh daily. When picking up an order with a group, we suggest ordering this unsweetened tea by the gallon as it goes fast. If you’re lucky or plan properly, you might end up with a half gallon left over for your fridge. Cheers!
